Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Application. If you are under the age of legal majority in your country, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

Some features are available without registration. Other features may require an account or a subscription.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information and protecting access to your device and account. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.

License to Use the Application

Your use of the iOS Application is subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These Terms additionally govern the services, subscriptions, and content offered through Aurin.

You may not misuse the Application, bypass access restrictions, interfere with its operation, or copy, modify, or reverse engineer its proprietary software except where applicable law permits it.

Free and Paid Features

Free features include:

• Reading the Bible.
• Reading content in Today’s Reading.
• Viewing community content.

Paid features include:

• Accessing and selecting paths and interacting with them.
• Conversations with the Aurin AI companion.
• Community interactions.
• Interactions with public Bible verse notes.

Available features and subscription offers are described in the Application before purchase.

Subscriptions and Free Trials

Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store. Available subscription periods include weekly, monthly, and annual plans.

The applicable price, currency, billing period, and any introductory offer are displayed in the Application at the time of purchase.

Eligible users may be offered a three-day free trial followed by a weekly subscription. Unless canceled before the trial ends in accordance with Apple’s cancellation requirements, the trial converts to a paid weekly subscription at the price displayed at purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Apple may charge your account for renewal within 24 hours before that period ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account’s subscription settings. For more information, please visit Apple Support. To avoid being charged after the free trial, cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before it ends.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices from time to time. Any subscription price increases will be implemented in accordance with Apple’s applicable policies. You will be notified of subscription price increases, and your consent will be requested where required. If your consent is required but not provided, your subscription will expire at the end of the last billing period charged at the previous price.

Canceling automatic renewal ordinarily leaves paid access available until the end of the paid subscription period. Apple may end trial access when a trial is canceled.

After paid access expires, you retain access to free features. Your account and saved data are not automatically deleted, and retained content may become accessible again when you renew your subscription.

Deleting the Application or your Aurin account does not automatically cancel your subscription.

Refunds

Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests. You can request a refund through Apple’s refund service.

Refund eligibility is determined under Apple’s applicable policies and applicable law. We do not provide an additional money-back guarantee. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

AI Features

Aurin includes an AI companion powered by OpenAI. The Privacy Policy describes what information is transmitted to provide this feature.

AI responses are generated automatically and may contain errors, incomplete information, or inaccurate quotations and references. Verify Bible quotations against the original translation provided in the Application.

AI responses are not part of the original Bible translations and do not represent an authoritative religious ruling or a statement from a human clergy member. AI-generated responses do not represent the views or instructions of any church or religious institution and should not be interpreted as divine messages.

Aurin does not guarantee any particular spiritual, personal, health, or other outcome from prayers or religious practices. For matters of faith, users are encouraged to consult Scripture or a trusted religious adviser. The AI companion is not a medical, mental health, legal, or emergency service. Do not rely on it for urgent assistance or professional advice. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.

You may report unsafe responses, inaccurate quotations, or other concerns to support@theaurin.app.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to any rights held by others.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, reproduce, and display your content only as needed to operate the Application and provide the features you use. This includes processing conversations through our AI provider and displaying content you submit to public areas.

This permission does not authorize us to sell your content independently of the service. Processing of personal information remains subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

You must have the rights or permissions needed to submit your content. Do not disclose another person’s private information without an appropriate lawful basis.

Private notes and conversations are not published to other users. Content submitted to community areas and public verse discussions may be visible to other users.

Acceptable Use and Moderation

If you participate in Community features, you must also comply with our Community Code of Conduct, which forms part of these Terms. You must not submit content or use the Application in a way that:

• Violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
• Threatens, harasses, exploits, or abuses others.
• Promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence.
• Contains sexually explicit material or graphic violence.
• Discloses private personal information without authorization.
• Infringes intellectual property rights.
• Involves scams, impersonation, spam, phishing, or malicious software.
• Interferes with security or attempts to obtain unauthorized access.
• Otherwise violates our Community Code of Conduct.

Public submissions are subject to automated screening and human review before publication. We may reject or remove content that violates these Terms and restrict accounts involved in abuse.

You may report content or block users using the functionality available in the Application. You may also report content or challenge a moderation decision by contacting us at support@theaurin.app. Include enough information to identify the content and explain your concern. We will review reports and take appropriate action.

Intellectual Property

We retain rights in the Application’s original software, design, branding, and other proprietary materials. Third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights and terms.

These provisions do not give us ownership of your content or the public-domain Bible texts described below.

Bible Translations

Aurin uses the following public-domain Bible translations:

• Berean Standard Bible (BSB). The text was dedicated to the public domain on April 30, 2023. Further information: Berean Bible Terms and Conditions.
• World English Bible (WEB). The text is in the public domain. “World English Bible” is a trademark of eBible.org. Further information: World English Bible Copyright Information.

Aurin does not claim ownership of these public-domain Bible texts. Restrictions in these Terms on Aurin’s proprietary content do not restrict your use of these texts.

AI-generated explanations, paraphrases, and commentary are not part of the original Bible translations and should not be treated as verbatim Scripture.

Feedback

We may allow you to voluntarily submit comments, suggestions, ideas, or other feedback regarding the Application and its features (“Feedback”).

By submitting Feedback, you agree that it is provided voluntarily, on a non-confidential basis, and without any expectation of compensation. We may use, disclose, and incorporate Feedback into the development, improvement, operation, and promotion of the Application without any obligation to you.

You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, distribute, display, and create derivative works based on your Feedback for any lawful purpose, without attribution or compensation, subject to applicable law.

Feedback does not include personal prayers, AI chat messages, or other content you submit through the Application unless you expressly submit such content as Feedback. Reports of inappropriate content, moderation appeals, and requests to exercise privacy rights are not considered Feedback under this section.

Any personal information included in Feedback will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Third-Party Services

The Application relies on third-party services for hosting, authentication, AI processing, notifications, and subscription management. The Privacy Policy identifies the providers and their roles.

Features may be affected by interruptions or changes to these services. These Terms do not exclude responsibilities that we have to you under applicable law.

Account Deletion

You can initiate account deletion from your user section by opening Profile and selecting the deletion option at the bottom of the page.

The Privacy Policy explains which information is deleted, applicable retention periods, and any legally required exceptions to the deletion of user-generated content.

Account deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage your subscription separately through Apple. To manage or cancel your subscription, visit https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions/.

Suspension and Termination

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, security risks, or harm to other users.

Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to address the issue. Immediate action may be necessary for serious abuse or security concerns.

You may stop using the Application at any time and request account deletion.

Suspension or termination does not remove any refund or other rights you have under applicable law.

Availability and Changes

Some features require an internet connection. You are responsible for charges imposed by your internet or mobile provider.

We may update the Application, address technical problems, or change features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

For material changes affecting an active paid subscription, we will provide notice and any remedies required by applicable law. Subscription price changes are handled through the applicable App Store procedures.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Subject to those protections, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Application.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for claims relating to the Application is limited to the amount you paid for Aurin subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not override mandatory consumer rights or any remedy required by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, except where mandatory laws applicable to you provide otherwise.

If you are a consumer, you retain the protections and rights available under mandatory laws in your country of residence. Disputes may be brought before courts competent under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will publish the revised version with its effective date and provide additional notice of material changes where required by law.

Changes do not retrospectively remove rights you have already acquired. Where agreement to a change is legally required, we will obtain it.

General

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement and do not replace mandatory rights under applicable law.
